Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and electrical estimating, with the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. This role requires proficiency in cost control and the use of software tools such as Accubid to ensure accurate project estimates. The Estimator will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors while working closely with project managers on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bids.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for estimates.
- Utilize Accubid software for takeoffs, pricing, and bid submissions.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, particularly in electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with construction management principles and practices.
- Proficient in using estimating software such as Accubid.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring all estimates are accurate and competitive.
