Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Electrician and bring your expertise to a variety of commercial, residencial and renovation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems with precision and confidence. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and residencial settings following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues accurately.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage circuits to support automation and control functions.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct troubleshooting of electrical problems using schematics and technical manuals; perform routine inspections for preventative maintenance.
- Assist with renovation projects by framing carpentry, conduit installation, and general handyman tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an residencial or commercial electrician with a valid journeyman license or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), and testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Construction site experience with the ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces.
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or general handyman skills is a plus.
