2nd shift Bore Operator
Qualification:
· High School diploma or GED
Special knowledge/skills:
· Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
· Ability to read and perform basic arithmetic.
Major Responsibility and Duties:
· Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
· Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
· Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
· Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
· Position and fasten work pieces.
· Keep machine area clean and safe throughout the work shift.
· Work toward continuous improvement of self and work environment.
· Notify shift supervisor when any problem occurs.
Safety :
· Operate tools, equipment and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedure.
· Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform jobs duties including lifting, carrying etc.
· Correct unsafe condition in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisors immediately.
Others
· Help in others areas if needed during the absence of other staff.
Equipment used:
Hand tools, Overhead Crane.
Training Requirements:
· Dial bore gage training.
· Bore training through check list.
· How to read job card, temperature gage and pocket surf.
