Role Description:
- Perform first article (FAI), in-process, and final inspections
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments including CMMs, micrometres, callipers, height gauges, and optical
- comparators
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Identify nonconformances and support corrective actions.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and management to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Propose, develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and review with the product quality engineers.
- Support the calibration process.
- Support internal and external audits on processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience with Calibrated equipment (callipers, micrometres, CMM etc.)
- Strong understanding of tolerances and measurement techniques.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (wire diagrams, work instructions, CAD)
- Experience with inspection of machined parts and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication or machining environment a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as JobBoss2 is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Experience with communicating with suppliers and cross functional teams.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted.
