Job Summary
JMR Electric Group is a highly rated, customer-focused electrical contractor founded in 2016. We specialize in high-end residential electrical projects throughout the Greater Boston area and maintain high standards for workmanship, organization, and professionalism.
We are seeking a Licensed Electrician who takes pride in their work, can operate independently, and wants to be part of a growing, tight-knit team.
This position is ideal for someone with strong residential experience who is comfortable running jobs, handling service work, and communicating directly with homeowners and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Run jobs independently or lead a small crew (typically electrician + apprentice)
- Perform high-end residential installations, renovations, and service work
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Complete service upgrades, panel installations, and circuit additions
- Read and interpret electrical plans, layouts, schematics, and construction drawings
- Communicate clearly with homeowners, general contractors, and team members
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with NEC and local codes
- Use testing equipment (meters, etc.) to diagnose electrical issues efficiently
- Coordinate with other trades on-site to keep projects moving smoothly
- Work efficiently in occupied homes while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Skills
- Strong residential electrical experience (service + remodel work preferred)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical issues independently
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with panel work, service upgrades, and power distribution
- Strong understanding of NEC regulations and safety standards
- Ability to confidently use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working on renovation projects and active construction sites
- Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and contractors
- Organized, reliable, and takes pride in clean, high-quality work
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
