Tele-Optics Communications, Inc. is hiring an experienced Security/Access Control Technician. We are seeking a self-motivated, hardworking individual that has understanding and experience in commercial integrated security industries. Potential employee must have excellent customer service skills and can demonstrate a past history of working independently or as part of a team environment. Potential employee must be able to pass background and drug check.

Hourly rate is based upon experience and certification.

Job Summary

Provides technical coordination and client liaison in the implementation of major and minor access security projects. Creates customer security solutions in accordance with existing access control policies and protocols. Provides technical guidance, oversight, and leadership to lower-level technical staff and contractors on a project basis.

The ideal candidate will be:

An experienced team leader – can work independently but able to work with lead tech or other tech.
Capable of programming and troubleshooting DSC alarm systems, which includes moves/adds/changes of systems.
Proficient in estimating scope and cost of access control projects and upgrades.
Installation of security devices including but not limited to mag-locks, card readers, door strikes, and push to exit buttons, with installation, controller wiring, software installation and programming.
Have a firm understanding of relay logic, low voltage wiring and network concepts.
Able to install and program IP cameras and CCTV.
Assist with performing a variety of tests to determine whether product functions as specified; determine cause of product failure; analyze test results.
Responsible for maintaining and building customer relationships.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

2 years of experience with commercial accounts – alarm systems and access control.
Proven track record of customer service and ability to interact with customers one on one.
Valid Driver’s License.
Pass criminal background and drug screening.
Be willing to work days, evenings and weekends if required (on-call).

Certifications: (Preferred but not required)

VA DCJS Certification, Samsung Security/Hanwha, Paxton, Exacq Vision, Milestone, Avigilon, etc.
