Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects, troubleshoot complex equipment, and ensure optimal performance of HVAC/R systems across diverse environments. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC/R systems including air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, ice machines, walk ins, reach ins, commercial ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately troubleshoot issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades to ensure peak efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Install new (replacement) HVAC/R equipment following manufacturer specifications and project plans.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic instruments to identify faults and execute repairs effectively.
- Conduct plumbing work related to refrigeration lines or water systems as needed for system operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in commercial HVAC/R or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia-based systems), boilers, and property maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical troubleshooting methods.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving electrical components, plumbing connections, welding techniques, and mechanical adjustments.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field testing instruments confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or driver certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction practices relevant to HVAC/R installations and property maintenance projects.

Pay: $27.99 - $33.71 per hour
