Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled overhead crane with proven experience in a steel environment.
Duties
- Operate cranes.
- Loading, unloading, and staging materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery on job sites.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to coordinate lifting operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of rigging equipment as needed.
- Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role involving heavy machinery operation.
- Proven experience in a steel/pipe environment.
- Valid crane operator certification or relevant licenses preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to crane operation and heavy machinery use.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
