Responsibilities

Prepare detailed plumbing estimates for commercial construction projects using Bluebeam, FastPipe, and other estimating software tools.
Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to determine scope of work and cost implications.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details ensuring mutual satisfaction.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify measurements, and gather accurate data for precise estimating.
Manage cost control processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained without compromising quality.
Develop comprehensive bid packages that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and subcontractor quotes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction trends, market pricing, and industry standards to ensure competitive bidding.

Experience

Proven experience as a Commercial Plumbing Estimator with a strong background in construction estimating within the commercial sector.
Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and relevant codes.
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup; experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Solid understanding of construction management principles and project management practices on active construction sites.
Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and contract administration in the construction industry.
Hands-on experience working on or managing construction sites adds valuable insight into accurate estimations.
