Overview
Blackwater Industries is a custom fabrication company supporting products in multiple market segments. We are seeking an experienced fitter and fabricator to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for fabrication in compliance with project specifications and drawings. This is a hands-on role in an industrial environment with a strong focus on quality, safety, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Ability to tack weld using GMAW and FCAW.
- Must pass pre-employment fit up-test. Test consists of coping and fitting two pieces of angle, beam or pipe.
- No less than 2 years of experience as a structural or pipe fitter.
- Possess skilled knowledge of coping and beveling for fitting processes.
- Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization, material jig set-up and maintenance.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have a pro-active work ethic.
- Perform general shop cleanup, organization, and maintenance tasks
- Operate forklifts and assist with job inventory tracking as required
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop policies

- Willingness to assist with general shop duties when coating work is not active
