Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced fabricator to lead the production of custom, one-off builds for live events and productions. This is not just a labor role — we need someone who can take the lead on projects, interpret design plans, and bring concepts to life with precision and creativity. Projects are fast-paced, highly customized, and deadline-driven. Dependability and managing workloads to a timeline are essential.
Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of fabrication projects from concept to completion. Interpret renderings, drawings, or verbal concepts and execute high-quality builds. Perform skilled work in carpentry, finishing, woodworking, and multi-material fabrication. Build custom signage, illuminated signs, set flats, facade walls, large set pieces, and other one-of-a-kind event elements. Work with wood, plastics, metal, and other materials as the project demands. Solve problems quickly and efficiently under tight and sometimes last-minute timelines. Operate shop equipment and power tools with a focus on safety and efficiency. Lead and coordinate on-site or in-shop labor as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience leading fabrication or scenic build projects. Reliably meet deadlines, and see every project through to the finish line, with a high standard of care and attention to details in your finished work. Skilled in reading and interpreting design plans, reading and designing CAD files, and operating CNC machines. Hands-on expertise in carpentry, finishing, electronics and material handling. Comfortable working under pressure with shifting priorities and last-minute demands. Ability to adapt, troubleshoot, and adjust mid-production without losing momentum. Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
Scenic, event, or theatrical fabrication. Custom builds or installations for live experiences. Experience fabricating within a creative or production team.
If you are a hands-on fabricator who thrives in a fast paced environment, takes pride in seeing your projects through no matter what it takes, and enjoys building things that wow audiences — we’d love to hear from you.
