We are seeking a year round skilled Maintenance Technician. In this position, you are a key player that helps maintain our historical property where the guest is our top priority as we deliver the best possible experience. We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to join the team responsible for maintenance and mechanical upkeep of the entire 100+ acre property with more than 50 structures. The Maintenance Technician position requires a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, minor carpentry, commercial water system monitoring, and more. This position may be guest facing during repair work and requires the ability to represent the business and effectively communicate with guests or team members. As a year round lodge, this position requires indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions with some on-call shifts. A successful team member in this role requires a person who is self-directed, takes initiative, and may work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance in cabins, public buildings, staff housing, and other facilities
- General carpentry skills required to complete interior and exterior repairs (wall surface repairs, painting, roof repair, etc.)
- Perform regular electrical checks and repairs such as refrigeration controls, lighting fixtures, water heaters, fireplaces, tv and media systems, etc.
- Perform minor repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
- Conduct daily tests recording water quality in commercial water treatment facility
- Maintenance and repair of small engines, including boats, ATVs, snow machines, and vehicles.
- Ensure that all engines, machines, and vehicles are in proper working order.
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests or complaints in a courteous and timely manner
- Check for new maintenance requests and update work orders in a manner that does not unduly disturb guests
- Maintain effective communication with all departments
- Provide swift and actionable response to emergency situations (power outages, water leaks, etc.)
- Regularly inspect facilities to identify and resolve issues ensuring safety standards
- Assist grounds with clearing of snow and ice as needed
- Maintain tidy and clean working order of all tools, work spaces, and equipment
- Ensure clean and professional appearance
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Proficiency utilizing basic hand and power tools
- Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, tractor, etc)
- Experience operating snow plow or Pistenbully a plus
- Septic and pool maintenance experience preferred
