We are an employee-owned custom metal fabrication company specializing in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. We produce a wide range of custom products for the water treatment, grain handling, and manufacturing industries.
Because we build a diverse variety of products for a wide range of customers, our welders and fabricators have the opportunity to work on different projects and build a variety of weldments on a regular basis. Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fit and weld custom metal assemblies and weldments.
- Perform MIG welding using Pulse, Short Circuit, and Spray transfer processes.
- Perform some TIG and Stick welding as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Perform layout, measuring, and general prefab work.
- Operate fabrication equipment as needed.
- Inspect work to ensure proper fit, weld quality, dimensions, and overall workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work independently as well as with other members of the fabrication team.
Fabrication Equipment Experience
Experience with the following equipment is a plus:
- Horizontal band saw
- Ironworker
- Hydraulic shear
- Drill press
- Hydraulic press
- Plate roller
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
- Strong MIG welding skills are required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform general fabrication and prep work.
- Ability to safely handle and position heavy materials.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. multiple times throughout a 10-hour workday.
- Must be willing and able to work 40–50 hours per week, generally between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Must successfully complete our pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Applicants will be required to complete a MIG weld test on mild steel during the application/interview process.
Candidates with advanced experience in stainless steel or aluminum MIG welding may be given weld tests in those materials as part of the hiring process.
