What You’ll Do
As a Structural Welder, you will fit, layout, weld, and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel products according to shop drawings or verbal instructions while meeting deadlines, quality expectations, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural and miscellaneous steel fitting and welding (90% of role)
- Complete quality checks and required documentation (5%)
- Weld in accordance with Mid-States WPS standards and AWS D1.1 guidelines
- Read and interpret shop drawings and welding symbols
- Apply shop mathematics (fractions, decimals, geometry, etc.)
- Operate overhead cranes safely
- Maintain tools and welding equipment as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement of workflow and organization
- Conduct company inspections (crane, rigging, hoists, etc.) as required
- Maintain professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork
- Follow all company safety policies and standards
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of fabrication/industry experience preferred
- Strong GMAW welding skills (all positions)
- Strong structural layout and fitting experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measuring tools, and welding symbols
- Solid understanding of AWS D1.1 standards
- Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, geometry)
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, torches, and plasma cutters

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
