Overview:
The Level 1 Detail Sheet Metal Operator is an entry-level role focused on learning the basics of blending, trimming, grinding, and polishing parts using various manual tools. Operators will work under close supervision and receive extensive training on proper techniques for deburring, graining, tumbling, and inspecting sheet metal parts.
Key Responsibilities: (include but not limited to): Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
- Learn to select appropriate tools and mount correct attachments.
- Perform basic manual blending, trimming, and grinding of parts.
- Assist in monitoring equipment for operational issues.
- Properly dispose of scrap and waste materials.

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Qualifications: Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- High School Diploma or GED is a plus
- 0-1 years of work experience; related experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential physical requirements pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- Heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. occasionally) and frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
PREFERRED TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY:
- Grinders, sanders, and vibrating hand tools.
REQUIRED WORK CLOTHING AND PPE: Attire should not interfere with job performance or safety.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
