Aqua-Therm Plumbing & Heating is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician / Mechanic to join our growing mechanical team. Our company performs a mix of commercial, institutional, and residential HVAC work, including service, troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and full system installations.
We are looking for a technician who is comfortable working on a wide range of HVAC systems and can diagnose issues in the field while also assisting with installations when required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform HVAC service, diagnostics, and repairs
- Troubleshoot commercial and residential HVAC equipment
- Install and service VRF / mini-split systems
- Install and replace rooftop units (RTUs)
- Perform ductwork installation and mechanical equipment installs
- Assist with equipment replacements and system upgrades
- Maintain clean, professional job sites
- Communicate clearly with management and customers
Qualifications:
- 3+ years HVAC service or mechanical experience preferred
- Experience with VRF systems, RTUs, split systems, and ductwork
- Ability to diagnose HVAC system issues independently
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, and mechanical spaces
Compensation:
- $30 – $50+ per hour depending on experience
- NJ Prevailing Wage projects available (higher pay rates when applicable)
