Position
- BIM technician for MEP contractor. This supportive role coordinates and prepares project deliverable shop drawings in accordance with code standards and performs basic technical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Works with a team of general contractors, project managers, superintendents and other technical staff to develop project deliverables to field teams and design engineers in the shop drawing process.
- Applies knowledge of basic modeling concepts, practices, codes and procedures for plumbing, hydronic piping, HVAC and electrical design.
- Coordinates tasks with teams across the company, other contractors and engineering firms.
- Assist project managers with more advanced technical activities.
Requirements
- Revit, CAD, Navisworks, Microsoft 365, Autodesk Forma, model management
- Ability to address coordination issues with agreed upon software.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and convey solutions to senior staff, field personnel and general contractors in a professional manner.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to shift between multiple projects without losing focus.

- Employee may be required to execute other duties, responsibilities and activities that may be changed at any time.
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours as needed on critical deadlines.
Preferred
- Procore, Revisto,
- Previous construction or engineering design experience
- Accredited associates degree, engineering degree, equivalent education or field experience.
- Possesses basic knowledge of construction practices within multiple disciplines.
- Trade license (i.e. plumbing or electrical)
