Journeyman Carpenter Job Overview
The Journeyman Carpenter is responsible for overseeing specific construction tasks, ensuring quality work, and working effectively inside a small team of workers. This role requires experience and knowledge in carpentry and general contracting to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the jobs specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks with limited supervision.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate with other team members to meet project goals.
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders.
- Ability to properly read a tape and make accurate cuts
Qualifications and Requirements
- No felony convictions
- Reliable form of transportation.
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to lift at least 100lb
- At least 2 years of carpentry experience.
Pay and Benefits
25-30 an hour depending on experience
4 day work week!
Work Environment
Work will primarily be conducted on construction sites and may involve heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Safety equipment will be provided. Having your own tools is a plus but not required.
