Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manifesting Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on a variety of metal components, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and fabrication processes, contributing to the successful completion of complex projects. Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding to join metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and plasma cutters for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and ductwork.
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, pipe threading equipment, and the press brake machine to form metal parts accurately.
- Execute rigging tasks including crane operation and forklift handling to position heavy materials safely.
- Measure materials with precision using calipers and micrometers to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct fabrication activities involving assembly of components according to ASME codes & standards while maintaining quality control.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations during fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling tools, equipment, and materials.
- Follow schematics, technical instructions, and safety protocols diligently throughout all operations.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and assembly.
- Extensive hands-on experience in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; familiarity with welding preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, soldering, ductwork installation, and rigging operations.
- Experience working within manufacturing or construction environments adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely while managing heavy or complex materials.
- Basic math proficiency for measurements, calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with schematics for mechanical systems or piping is advantageous.
