We are a machine shop located in Bedford MA that manufactures exotic metal parts for the aerospace, medical and electron ion microscope industries. We are looking for an individual who is motivated and willing to learn to join our team as a Saw operator. Experience in machine shop practices are not required.
Duties:
*Order raw material according to customer specifications & works instructions
*Cut raw material according to work instructions
*Debur material and send to the following operations
*Manage raw material inventory
*Occasionally communicate with suppliers and other departments
Required:
* High school diploma
* Must be able to speak/read English
* Must have great attention to detail
* Must be organized and be able to multitask
* Must have reliable transportation
* Must have basic understanding of Microsoft Word (Excel a plus)
* Occasionally lift up to 50lbs
Not required but a plus:
* Experience in machine shop practices
* Able to follow process sheets/ work instructions
* Basic understanding of blueprint reading and tolerances
* Able to use and understand precision measuring tools (Micrometers, dial indicators, verniers etc..)
*Spanish speaking is a plus
