Only seeking experienced concrete cutting and coring operators. We are not hiring people that “can learn” as of now.
Position Overview: As a Concrete Coring Operator, you will play a crucial role in our companies operations by executing concrete coring and drilling tasks with precision and efficiency. You will work as part of a team to ensure that concrete structures are safely and accurately prepared for various construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Concrete Cutting, Coring and Drilling: Utilize specialized equipment such as Hilti core drills, Merit Gas and 480V self-propelled flat saws, Hilti Track saws, and Husqvarna High Cycle Hand Tools to cut precise holes and openings in concrete structures according to project specifications.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Implement proper safety measures during coring and drilling activities.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on coring equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely. Report any equipment issues or malfunctions promptly.
Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including the location and dimensions of core holes, drilling depths, and any unusual conditions encountered during coring operations.
Quality Control: Ensure the cores to not cut reinforcement and Tensioned Cables. Verify openings meets project requirements and industry standards. Leave jobsite cleaner than we found it.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with project managers, construction teams, and other technicians to coordinate coring activities with overall project timelines and goals.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during coring operations, such as possible reinforcement/conduit to be cut, equipment malfunctions or unexpected challenges in the concrete structure.
Safety Training: Stay current with OSHA and MSHA safety training and certifications related to concrete coring and drilling techniques and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Coring Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of concrete cutting, coring, and drilling techniques.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment used in concrete coring.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
