Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipe Welder to join our dynamic fabrication shop. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and assembling piping systems across various projects, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Fabrication and welding of 2” and 3” Schedule 40 production pipe spools
- GTAW (TIG) open root welding
- GMAW (MIG) hot and cap pass
- Reading and working from fabrication drawings
- Maintaining quality and production standards
- Maintaining safety standards
Skills
- Ability to pass welding test per our WPS which consist of 6" Schedule 80 pipe (open tig root, tig hot pass, mig cap pass) in a 1G rolled position along with 2" schedule 80 tig all the way out in a 6G position.
- Extensive pipe welding experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques;
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for piping fabrication.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other lifting equipment safely;
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently when needed. Pay: $28.69 - $34.55 per hour
