Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Lead Install Technician to spearhead installation projects and oversee field service operations. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, design plans, and safety protocols.
- Supervise and mentor a team of service technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures and best practices.
- Perform complex HVAC system installations, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing connections, and mechanical components.
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) blueprints to execute precise installations.
- Conduct equipment repair and maintenance tasks using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, industry standards, and company policies; maintain detailed documentation of work performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks as needed; support appliance repair and general mechanical troubleshooting on-site.
- Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites; maintain a clean driving record in accordance with driver requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC installation and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes related to HVAC systems and property maintenance.
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and HVAC/R equipment repair.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field service teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with appliance repair is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; certifications in HVAC technology or mechanical trades are highly desirable.
