Lead Start Up Tech - HVAC New Construction
Optimal Air Solutions Residential New Construction division is growing quickly, and we are looking to bring on motivated individuals to help the team continue to succeed. The ideal candidate with be a self-starter, team player with leadership skills. Must be thorough and detail oriented; familiar with the HVAC installation process of new builds; be able to read plans; communicate well with the office staff both written and verbally.
Primary job functions:
- Technical- Knowledge of static pressure, CFM, Proper freon readings, low voltage wiring(zoning, communicating units). Can read plans, duct designs.
- Install condensing units and start up equipment (single stage, 2 stage, multistage, and variable spend units across various equipment manufactures)
- Complete punch out items and inspection corrections.
- Communicate with builders about any issues or questions while on site.
- Perform repairs and warranty calls as requested as needed.
- Assist residential service technicians with repairs of HVAC equipment as needed.
- Fill out required paperwork for job walks and provide detailed information about each call completed so office staff can update builders on progress.
- Performs quality walks after initial rough in of equipment and makes notes / complete corrections to ensure job passes inspection.
Work hours: Full-time, 40+ hours per week plus weekend overtime as required
Compensation: Starting Hourly Rate between $26-30/hr (based on experience)

Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of HVAC experience (New construction preferred)
- Proficient speaking and writing in English
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems, methods and reading drawings
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record (REQUIRED)
- EPA/TDLR Certified
- Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends AS NEEDED
- Ability to stand, bend, crawl for extended periods of time in different weather conditions
Preferred qualifications:
- Residential new construction experience
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Troubleshooting experience
- Service Titan CRM experience
