Job Summary
The Machinist/Welder will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and rebuilding heavy equipment components, including hydraulic cylinders. This role requires hands-on experience with machining tools, welding processes, and occasional field work at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) on heavy equipment and components
- Repair and rebuild hydraulic cylinders, including disassembly, inspection, honing, and reassembly
- Operate machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed
- Repair worn or damaged components to working condition
- Perform occasional field welding and on-site repairs
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Assist with general shop duties and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Experience in welding and machining (preferred 2+ years)
- Experience with hydraulic cylinder repair strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Willingness to perform field work as needed
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop and field environment
