Position Overview
B&E Energy Group, based in Red Hill, PA, is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring 1-2 years of hands-on residential HVAC experience.
HVAC experience and hold the proper Pennsylvania licensing and certifications to perform installations,
maintenance, and repairs on residential heating and air conditioning systems.
This is a field-based role operating out of our Red Hill location and serving homeowners across
southeastern Pennsylvania. You will work independently on service calls, diagnose and repair a wide
range of residential HVAC equipment, and deliver the kind of quality workmanship and customer
experience that B&E Energy has been known for.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems including furnaces, heat pumps, central
air conditioning units, ductless mini-splits, and boilers
- Perform new residential HVAC system installations per manufacturer specifications and
applicable codes
- Conduct seasonal maintenance and tune-ups on heating and cooling equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues using industry-standard
diagnostic tools
- Accurately complete work orders, service tickets, and documentation for each job
- Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding system condition, repair options, and pricing
- Maintain a clean, organized company service vehicle and ensure proper inventory of common
parts and materials
- Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and local code requirements at every job site
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service as required
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians as the team grows
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of residential HVAC service and installation experience

- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required by federal law for refrigerant handling)
- Valid Pennsylvania HVAC contractor license or journeyman-level credential, or eligibility to obtain
one
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing gas furnaces, heat pumps, central A/C, and boiler
systems
- Strong knowledge of residential building codes and mechanical permit requirements in PA
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics
- Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and handle multiple service calls per
day
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills with residential customers
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification in residential heating and/or cooling
- Experience with ductless mini-split systems and high-efficiency equipment
- Experience with hydronic heating systems and boilers
- Experience using Housecall Pro or similar field service management software
- R-410A safety certification
- Low-voltage electrical experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and on rooftops
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity)
- Standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, fittings, and small components
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
