STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
About the Role & Hanwha Power M&D
Hanwha Power M&D is seeking experienced Gas Turbine Power Plant Professionals (Operations, I&C, or Mechanics) who are looking to transition to an office environment. This role is ideal for power plant professionals with strong computer and communication skills who can serve as the central hub for day-to-day M&D Operations.
Hanwha Power provides aftermarket upgrades, gas turbine equipment, and outage support for Large Frame Power Plants and Gas Turbine Powered Compressors used in the LNG industry. Our M&D center monitors close to 70 large frame gas turbines. Because our customers utilize a range of equipment—from OEM setups to Hanwha Power (formerly PSM) upgrades—no two plants are identical.
As an M&D Operator, you will utilize highly tuned alarm systems to assist customers in getting ahead of potential issues, managing major events (trips, runbacks, unloads), and fielding requests to restore normal operations. You will filter incoming alarms and disposition actionable items using your expertise and our extensive library of Knowledge-Based Articles. Issues requiring deeper evaluation are escalated to the shift engineer or specialists. You will be supported by a robust team of Combustion Tuning, Autotune, Controls, Vibration, I&C, and Operations Specialists, with further backing from Hanwha Power’s Service Engineering and R&D departments.
IMPORTANT QUALIFICATION NOTE: While we recognize that processing plants utilize much of the same auxiliary equipment, the primary focus of this role is on Gas Turbines, particularly combustion systems. Therefore, direct Gas Turbine experience is a strict requirement for this position. Highly skilled Process Professionals without specific Gas Turbine experience will not be considered at this time.
