Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Marine Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting services for a variety of marine vessels and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on marine vessels and associated systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to execute assembly, fabrication, and repair tasks with accuracy.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs involving wiring harnesses, electrical components, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
- Execute rigging tasks including lifting heavy components safely and correctly using appropriate rigging techniques.
- Maintain detailed service records, update maintenance logs, and document repairs performed for each vessel or component.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to marine transport equipment and support fabrication projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician within the marine industry or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, and fabrication processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing engine systems, vessel assembly/disassembly processes, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with soldering techniques and sheet metal work is a plus.
- Mercury/Mercruiser, Yamaha, or Volvo certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance tasks safely while adhering to industry standards.
