We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technician for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to lead our technical team in delivering top-tier service and maintenance. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC service technicians, ensuring timely completion of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Review schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Conduct field inspections of HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration setups.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment; perform equipment repair or replacement as needed.
- Oversee plumbing and appliance repair tasks related to HVAC systems to maintain optimal operation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of welding techniques when necessary for equipment repair or modification.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, system performance reports, and maintenance logs for accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction projects involving HVAC installation or maintenance; prior service technician experience is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics interpretation, HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, and plumbing.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles, equipment repair, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks.
- Skilled in diagnosing issues related to air conditioning units, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and general mechanical systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and apply that knowledge effectively in the field.
- Experience working with field service operations; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for driver responsibilities.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures; familiarity with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools is essential.
- Mechanical or technical certification related to HVAC/R or refrigeration is preferred; additional certifications in appliance repair or property maintenance are advantageous.
