Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various environments, including commercial, industrial, and renovation sites. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues related to low voltage and high voltage circuits.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, including proper handling of low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure ongoing safety standards are met.
- Assist in schematic reading and interpretation for complex electrical layouts during installation or renovation projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of NEC standards.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical systems.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in automation environments is a plus.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage applications is essential.
- Previous handyman experience or frame carpentry skills are advantageous for versatile project support.
