Duties

Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and appliances.
Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
Troubleshoot electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
Conduct welding, equipment repair, and mechanical work as needed to restore system functionality.
Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant lines or water supply connections.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed.
Adhere to safety protocols related to ammonia refrigeration, HVAC/R systems, and property maintenance standards.
Operate field service vehicles safely while adhering to all transportation regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields such as refrigeration, appliance repair, or property maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with construction practices relevant to HVAC installation projects.
Experience working with schematics, HVAC design plans, and electrical troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters.
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
Previous experience with welding or boiler operation is advantageous.
Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
Valid driver’s license is required for travel between multiple job sites.
