Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Trim-Out Installer to join our growing team. This position focuses primarily on residential new construction HVAC installations and final trim-out work. The ideal candidate will have experience installing and finishing residential HVAC systems in new homes while ensuring all work is completed to code and passes final inspection.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting outdoor equipment, completing final HVAC trim installations, and ensuring systems are operating properly before homeowner turnover. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of delivering a clean, professional finished product.
Responsibilities
- Complete final trim-out installation of residential HVAC systems in new construction homes.
- Set and secure outdoor condensers and heat pump units.
- Install supply and return grills, thermostats, bath fans, range hoods, dryer vents, and other HVAC-related finish components.
- Perform start-up and basic commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
- Verify installations meet manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and inspection requirements.
- Troubleshoot and correct installation issues prior to final inspection.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and HVAC design plans.
- Coordinate with builders, project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to maintain construction schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while following all company safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, builders, inspectors, and homeowners when needed.
- Assist with minor service or warranty corrections as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience installing residential HVAC systems in new construction homes.
- Strong understanding of HVAC trim-out procedures and inspection requirements.
- Experience setting outdoor units, installing grills, thermostats, bath fans, hoods, and related components.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and HVAC layouts.
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot installation and start-up issues.
- Familiarity with local residential building and mechanical codes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Experience with heat pumps, gas furnaces, and split systems.
- Basic sheet metal and duct modification experience.
- Prior experience working with residential builders and inspections.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
