About the Role
Ambercrest Construction is looking for a hungry, driven Junior Project Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and own real work from day one. This isn’t a clipboard-and-checklist position, you’ll be embedded in active K-12 and public sector projects, working directly alongside senior leadership to drive execution, solve problems, and grow fast. If you’re 2–4 years into your career and feel like you haven’t been given enough ownership yet, this is your opportunity to change that.
What You’ll Do
- Support and eventually lead project execution from preconstruction through closeout on K-12, municipal, and public sector projects
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily project documentation with accuracy and urgency
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to keep schedules on track and hold parties accountable
- Assist in maintaining CPM schedules and flagging risks before they become problems
- Help enforce safety, phasing, and access protocols on occupied campuses and active facilities
- Ensure compliance with public contract requirements, certified payroll, bonding, insurance, and badging
- Participate in OAC meetings and contribute to clear, concise client reporting
- Support preconstruction efforts and proposal pursuits as the company continues to grow
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of project management or field experience with a general contractor
- Exposure to public sector, K-12, or institutional construction, strongly preferred
- A self-starter mentality, you don’t wait to be told what needs to happen next
- Basic understanding of public contract compliance (prevailing wage, certified payroll a plus)
- Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to scheduling tools is a plus
- Strong communicator who can hold their own in a room with owners, architects, and trade partners
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000 – $98,000 depending on experience
- Performance bonus tied to project delivery and company milestones
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid time off and company holidays
- Direct mentorship from senior leadership with a clear path to Project Manager as Ambercrest scales
