We are seeking an Electrician (Master /or Journeyman) to join our team.
MUST HAVE CURRENT JOURNEYMAN OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LICENSE
HVAC EXPERIENCE A BIG PLUS!!
The Electrician (Journeyman or Master) performs general maintenance of an electrical nature and follows instructions contained in maintenance requests, work orders and verbal instructions
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Lays out work from schematics, blueprints, verbal instructions or working knowledge of the trade.
- Performs maintenance and related items upon the dwelling units and buildings.
- Trouble-shoots electrical malfunctions to determine cause of failure by using electrical testing instruments, meters and gauges, then proceeds to perform repairs or adjustments to correct the malfunction.
- Repairs or replaces fixtures, switches, relays, circuit breakers, fuse panels, wiring, motors, automatic equipment, time clocks, electronic controls, exhaust fans, electric baseboard heaters, thermostats, ceiling heaters, etc.
- Operates vehicles and trucks and power hand tools.
- Able to work occasional weekend and evening duty as necessary. This involves skills necessary to make emergency plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Performs snow removal as necessary.
- Able and willing to work within confined spaces above and below homes – including attics and crawl spaces.
- Able to respond to disaster situations such as flood, fires as necessary.
Qualifications
Must have completed an apprenticeship, demonstrated a minimum of four years’ experience and passed the appropriate Journeyman or Master licensing examination. Experience in the use of power tools and equipment used in the trade. Must be able to work overtime as required.. Able to work occasional weekends as necessary. Must possess a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Must be tactful in dealings with resident members and the general public. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good time management skills. Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
