Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00 – $36.00 per hour (based on experience)

Core Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage security and access control systems
- Pull wire and cable in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Install low-voltage devices and equipment within conduit, cable tray, raceway, and open cabling pathways
- Identify practical installation pathways and execute efficient, clean cable routing
- Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Maintain accurate as-built documentation and field markups
- Troubleshoot systems using multimeters, laptops, and manufacturer diagnostic software
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other trades to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
Systems & Platforms
Experience with, or willingness to train on IP-based video surveillance and access control systems including:
- Honeywell
- Avigilon
- Paxton
- Brivo
- LenelS2
- Willingness to learn nurse call and other systems.

Technical Qualifications
- 2–5 years of low-voltage, electrical, or security installation experience
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, switches, subnets, and IP device connectivity
- Experience configuring or commissioning security, access control, video surveillance, or nurse call systems preferred
- Comfortable using laptops, mobile applications, and manufacturer diagnostic software tools
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to obtain Virginia DCJS Electronic Security Technician registration within 90 days of hire
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must pass criminal history background screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift equipment and materials
- Ability to climb ladders and work overhead
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, stand for extended periods, and work in active construction environments
Travel & Scheduling
- Project-based field work
- Up to 50% travel depending on project assignment
- Per diem provided for overnight travel assignments
- Typical schedules include 8-hour or 10-hour shifts depending on project requirements
- Occasional evening, weekend, or overnight work may be required based on project schedules
- Participation in an on-call rotation may occasionally be required
