In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Support the installation, threading, grooving, and hanging of commercial sprinkler piping systems, including black iron, steel, and CPVC
- Assist with system testing, line flushing, and required inspections on wet, dry, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings while working alongside senior technicians
- Help install, service, and maintain key system components, including valves, sprinkler heads, and backflow prevention assemblies
- Maintain a professional presence when working with general contractors, site supervisors, and safety personnel on active job sites
Technical Qualifications:
- ASSE 5110 Backflow Certification is highly preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of NFPA standards or progress toward NICET certification (Water-Based Systems) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with industry tools and materials such as Victaulic grooved fittings and pipe threading equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2+ years of hands-on field experience in commercial plumbing, mechanical pipefitting, or fire sprinkler installation
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of job site safety and proper material handling
- Reliable, hardworking, and motivated to grow within the trade
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Pay: $26.80 - $36.00 per hour
