We specialize in design-build as well as plan & spec projects. We service a wide range of client types as well as maintain and operate different facilities. Our projects’ sizes range from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of square feet, and include essential work facilities such as hospitals and special care centers.

Summary

We are seeking a commercial plumbing estimator with 8 years minimum experience bidding multi-million-dollar projects. The responsibilities are as follows:

Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, related documents, and blueprints.
Identify the scope of work and labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing supporting documentation in depth.
Determine discrepancies in documents and request information to provide a comprehensive bid.
Compile data to estimate costs such as labor, material, equipment, rentals, job cost activities as well as evaluate schedule for impacts to the estimate and/or project.
Evaluate costs based on specifications and current economic conditions while also assisting management in forecasting costs of new projects.
Deliver and present timely and accurate proposals by assembling numerical and descriptive information.
Attend scope review in person or via phone.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

At least 8 years’ experience estimating multi-million-dollar construction projects
In depth knowledge of the construction industry and its current events
Must have technical competencies and ability to understand software, hardware, networks, etc.
Ability to read and interpret all bid documents and requirements accurately
Be able to take responsibility for the bidding process and bidding workload
Experience in Viewpoint/Trimble Estimating software
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word
High initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Effectively handle stressful situations and deadline pressures
Strong communication skills
