Responsibilities and Duties:

Test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial buildings according to code.
Complete detailed inspection reports, notating any deficiencies, notes or recommendations.
Program and configure fire alarm systems accordingly.
Provide training to clients on how to use and maintain their fire alarm systems.
Respond to service calls and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
Ensure all official documents are completed and accurate.
Communicate status of work accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow and maintain a highly structured schedule.
Ability to use power tools and other equipment necessary for installation and maintenance work.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Protect and maintain company equipment.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Adhere to Company Handbook, Confidentially Agreement and Company Safety Policy.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring principles.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
Knowledge of principles and practice of fire safety.
NICET Certification preferred.
Knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72.
Knowledge of codes and regulations.
Must have a clean driving records and valid drivers license.
