Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Foreman to lead multiple installation crews and oversee commercial/industrial projects from kickoff through completion. This role is responsible for field execution, workforce coordination, quality control, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong planning skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and schedule multiple HVAC sheet metal installation crews across various job sites
- Coordinate daily and long-term field operations in collaboration with Project Managers and Superintendents
- Plan project workflow, installation sequencing, and proactively manage labor, materials, and equipment needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Conduct detailed quality control inspections and pre-walks to ensure readiness for official inspections and sign-offs
- Serve as the primary field point of contact for General Contractors and internal project teams
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Enforce company safety standards and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (6–12 hours per day)
- Work in outdoor and indoor construction environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work weekends and travel or stay out of town as required by project demands
- Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience
- 1-2+ years in a leadership role (Foreman, Lead Foreman, or Superintendent level)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and industry standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Experience with project scheduling, manpower planning, and material coordination
- Solid understanding of job costing and budget control
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred or required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
