As part of our strategic expansion, we are launching a new HVAC Division and are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial leader to build and lead this division from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and grow a new business unit within a stable, profitable company that already has strong infrastructure, financial backing, customer base, and industry relationships in place.
Position Title:
President – HVAC Division
Location: Euless, Texas (DFW Metroplex)
Reports To: Company Ownership / CEO
Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned HVAC professional to serve as the President of our new HVAC Division. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building the division from zero to a thriving, profitable operation. You will have full operational authority and direct support from the parent company’s resources, but you must be capable of developing strategy, building a team, establishing processes, and driving growth in a competitive market.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and operator who has successfully launched or scaled an HVAC business before and possesses the leadership skills to recruit top talent and manage all day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the Division from the Ground Up: Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the HVAC division, including market analysis, service offerings (residential, commercial, new construction, service & repair, maintenance agreements, etc.), pricing strategy, and growth targets.
- Licensing & Compliance: Ensure the division maintains all required Texas state and local HVAC contractor licenses, permits, and certifications. Hold or obtain the necessary qualifying party license for the company.
- Talent Acquisition & Team Building: Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-quality HVAC technicians, installers, service managers, dispatchers, and support staff. Build a strong company culture focused on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Operations Leadership: Oversee all daily operations including scheduling, inventory management, fleet operations, job execution, quality control, and customer service.
- Sales & Business Development: Drive revenue growth through both organic lead generation and strategic partnerships. Work closely with the existing plumbing sales team to create cross-selling opportunities between plumbing and HVAC services.
- Financial Management: Manage divisional P&L, budgeting, job costing, and profitability. Work with ownership to set and achieve financial targets.
- Vendor & Supplier Relationships: Establish relationships with equipment manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and priority support.
- Customer Experience: Ensure the division delivers the same high standards of service that our plumbing company is known for, building long-term customer loyalty and recurring revenue through maintenance programs.
- Marketing & Branding: Collaborate on marketing strategies specific to the HVAC division (website presence, digital marketing, SEO, vehicle branding, etc.).
- Safety & Training: Maintain a strong safety program and ensure ongoing technical and professional development for the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must hold a valid Texas HVAC Contractor License (qualifying party experience preferred).
- Minimum 8–10+ years of progressive experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 4–5 years in senior leadership (General Manager, Operations Manager, or President/Owner level).
- Proven experience starting or scaling an HVAC company/division from early stages is strongly preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of both residential and commercial HVAC systems, including installation, service, and replacement.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in P&L management, gross margin improvement, and revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership and people-development skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Experience with service-based sales, maintenance agreements, and customer retention strategies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
This is a high-impact leadership position that will play a critical role in the future growth of our company. If you are a driven HVAC professional who thrives on building and leading teams, we want to hear from you.
