Job Description
The Aircraft Structures Technician performs structural installations, completions, modifications, and retrofits on tiltrotor developmental aircraft in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. This role focuses on aircraft sheet metal and structural work, ensuring high-quality assembly and structural integrity on the aircraft assembly line.
Responsibilities

Perform structural installations, completions, modifications, and retrofits on tiltrotor developmental aircraft.

Carry out aircraft sheet metal and structural work, including fabrication, assembly, and repair of structural components.

Install and assemble structural components using rivets, hi-loks, and other fasteners in accordance with engineering specifications and blueprints.

Work with a variety of materials, including sheet metal, composites, and honeycomb structures, to build and modify aircraft structures.

Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, layout drawings, and work instructions to perform precise structural installations and modifications.

Perform tasks such as trimming, reaming, countersinking, and fitting structural components to ensure proper alignment and fit.

Support aircraft structural completions and retrofit projects, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Work on the aircraft assembly line as a structural mechanic, contributing to the overall build and completion of rotary-wing and tiltrotor aircraft.

Use personal basic structural tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.

Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and project deadlines.

Collaborate with other technicians and teams in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely completion of structural work.
Essential Skills

Minimum 4 years of aircraft sheet metal and structures experience.

Proven experience in aircraft structural completions and retrofits.

Ability to perform structural installations, modifications, and retrofits on aircraft.

Strong sheet metal skills, including fabrication, assembly, and repair.

Experience working with aircraft structures, airframes, and composite materials.

Proficiency in using rivets, hi-loks, and other structural fasteners.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and engineering drawings.

Skilled in layout, trimming, reaming, and countersinking for structural assemblies.

Experience working on rotary-wing or helicopter aircraft, including tiltrotor platforms such as V-22.

Must be open to working overtime as required.

Must have own basic structural tools suitable for aircraft sheet metal and structures work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with structural modifications on aircraft is preferred.

Time in manufacturing or high-tech production environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.00/hr.
