Duties

Assist with electrical wiring, conduit installation, and system troubleshooting on construction sites.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in commercial or residential settings.
Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute project plans.
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct routine inspections of systems for proper operation; troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge.
Support field service tasks such as pipe fitting, remodeling projects, maintenance work, and system upgrades.
Follow construction plans and schematics precisely to ensure accurate installation of HVAC systems or other mechanical components.
Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks or site preparations; assist with carpentry or handyman duties as needed.
Maintain a clean work environment; document project progress through reports and logs; communicate effectively with supervisors.

Requirements

Current enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship program or a valid Journeyman Plumber license.
Proven experience in construction environments involving plumbing or electrical work is highly desirable.
Familiarity with construction plumbing systems, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical concepts.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and HVAC-related tools safely.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces; comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizes or electrical wiring layouts.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for commercial driving tasks if required.
Knowledge of safety standards including OSHA regulations; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills; adaptable team player eager to learn new skills across electrical and plumbing trades.
