Position Overview
We are currently seeking a licensed Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in a part-time capacity, with the intention of developing this role into a full-time Lead Electrician position within our Electrical Division.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and light commercial electrical projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, service work, renovations, and new construction. As the company continues to grow, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to receive training and gain experience in fire alarm systems, emergency communication systems, and other life safety technologies.
The ideal candidate is self motivated, dependable, customer-focused, and takes pride in performing high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
* Perform electrical work in residential remodeling, renovation, and service applications
* Assist with new construction and retrofit electrical installations
* Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a safe and efficient manner
* Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
* Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA, local codes, and authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
* Maintain a clean and professional job site
* Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
* Participate in fire alarm and life safety system training as opportunities arise
Qualifications
* Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician License
* Strong knowledge of electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety
* Familiarity with NEC requirements; experience with NFPA 72 is a plus
* Experience with fire alarm, security, or life safety systems is preferred but not required
* Must possess reliable transportation and personal hand tools
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record ( This is a MUST! )
