Assistant Project Manager – HVAC Construction

Queens, NY

Altair Enterprises Corp is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing commercial HVAC construction team.

This position is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in construction, HVAC, engineering, or project coordination looking to grow within the mechanical construction industry.

Responsibilities

· Assist Project Managers with daily project operations

· Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel

· Track project schedules, equipment, and material deliveries

· Prepare and track change orders, RFIs, and submittals

· Attend project meetings and site walkthroughs

· Assist with project documentation and reporting

· Help manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Maintain communication with clients and office staff

· Support project closeout and completion activities

Qualifications

· 1–2 years of related experience preferred

· HVAC or construction experience a plus

· Mechanical Engineering degree a plus

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

· Motivated, dependable, and willing to learn

· Valid driver’s license
