Position Overview
We are seeking a Remote Electrical Qualifier to ensure our work complies with all electrical codes and standards in Virginia and Northern States. Candidates must have significant electrical experience, understand licensing, and provide remote compliance oversight. This flexible remote position ensures accountability for standards across regions.Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the Electrical Qualifier for company operations in Virginia and Northern States
- Maintain all required state and local electrical licenses, registrations, and certifications in good standing.
- Oversee electrical projects remotely to ensure compliance with all codes, regulations, and permitting.
- Review project plans, specs, and scopes for code compliance and technical accuracy.
- Support project managers, estimators, and field staff with code interpretations and technical guidance.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate any updates to company operations and licensing.
- Help with permit applications, inspections, and interactions with local authorities (AHJs).
- Conduct compliance reviews and audits of electrical installations and documentation regularly.
- Create and update standard operating procedures for electrical compliance and quality control.
- Lead safety initiatives and enforce electrical safety standards and best practices.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, installation methods, and code questions as needed.
- Keep accurate records of licenses, education, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Support business growth by assisting with licensing and qualification for new service territories as needed.
Qualifications
- Hold an active Master Electrician, Electrical Contractor, or equivalent qualifying license for the applicable jurisdictions.
- Ability to qualify for and maintain company electrical licenses in Virginia and applicable Upstate South Carolina jurisdictions.
- Bring at least 5 years of electrical industry experience, including commercial or industrial systems.
- Know the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical regulations thoroughly.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Have experience reviewing electrical plans, permits, and inspection requirements.
- Use remote communication and project management tools confidently.
- Work independently and support multiple projects and teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience serving as an electrical qualifier or a responsible managing employee.
- Hold or have held multi-state licenses.
- Experience supporting distributed or remote field operations.
- Knowledge of utility, telecommunications, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
Work Arrangement
- This is a fully remote position, with the expectation to perform all core duties from a remote location using digital tools. Occasional on-site presence may be required for critical meetings, inspections, or audits.
- Primary focus on operations throughout Virginia and the Northern States.
- Travel occasionally for meetings, inspections, audits, or regulatory matters.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month
