POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilledPipefitters for an exciting Water Project in Papillion, NE.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs basic mathematical calculations pertaining to the craft such as rolling offsets, cutback of fittings, and takeout between joints and other fits.
Material estimates.
Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other trades.
Thread pipe using threading machine.
Secure pipes to structure with bolt up, clamps, brackets and hangars using hand tools and machines.
Test piping system for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
Reads and understands plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, erection manuals, and/or plans and makes decisions based on measurable criteria.
Visualizes objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic understanding of rigging to move pipe into proper location.
Maintains good housekeeping and a safe work area.
Works safely, encourages others to do so, and complies with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures.
Follow oral and written directions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
Minimum age 18+
