Job Summary
Stanley Mechanical LLC, located in Hampstead NH is looking for an aspiring plumber to join our team as an Apprentice Plumber. You will learn the skills necessary to become a journeyman by working with a master plumber. As you gain experience, you may begin to complete some duties independently or with limited supervision. These duties include identifying drain issues, clearing clogged pipes, installing plumbing fixtures, and completing cost estimates. To apply for this position, you need a valid driver's license, the ability to lift over 50 lbs., and knowledge of and proficiency with basic tools.
Apprentice Plumber Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting the Plumber: Help licensed professionals with cutting, measuring, threading, and assembling pipes.
- System Maintenance: Assist in identifying leaks and repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures like sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
- Job Site Prep & Cleanup: Prepare work areas, transport materials, haul tools, and clean job sites after tasks are completed.
- Tool & Material Management: Ensure the proper tools are selected for the job, handle equipment safely, and maintain inventory.
- Code Compliance: Help ensure all work aligns with local, state, and federal plumbing codes
Apprentice Plumber Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is generally the minimum educational requirement. Trade school training can be a plus. Familiar with common hand tools
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for long periods, and work in tight spaces or challenging environments. Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
- Work Ethic: Strong reliability, a willingness to follow directions, and an eagerness to learn the trade on the job.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
