Overview
ESI’s electrical department is in search of an experienced Commercial/Industrial Electrician to join their team. This candidate should have a strong background in handling electrical systems for commercial and industrial settings. Skilled in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. Proficient in interpreting blueprints, adhering to electrical codes and regulations, and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for commercial construction projects, including lighting, power distribution, Fire Alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Installation of DDC control systems for building HVAC systems
- Perform power wiring and all aspects of electrical installations
- Service electrical work, including troubleshooting and repairs
- LED lighting installation (new construction and retrofit projects)
- Fire alarm system installation and service
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Lead and supervise field crews, manage job budgets, and ensure project deadlines are met
- Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, local, and state codes
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project schedules
- Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with OSHA and company safety policies
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (MA and RI preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and technical drawings
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet project demands
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
