Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems across diverse property types. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will ensure optimal operation of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex systems, including ammonia refrigeration and boiler units, while delivering exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation fans, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and plan repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for appliance repair, property maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure system integrity.
- Repair mechanical components through welding or other mechanical techniques as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems, refrigeration cycles—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving electrical testing (using tools like ohmmeters), welding techniques, and component replacement.
- Familiarity with field service procedures for appliance repair and property maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a driver vehicle preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and apply HVAC design concepts effectively.
