Responsibilities
Assist experienced plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites and commercial or residential properties. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively under supervision. Support the assembly and installation of piping systems, fixtures, and appliances following safety protocols. Participate in remodeling projects by performing basic carpentry, handyman tasks, and site cleanup to ensure smooth workflow. Help with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to HVAC systems or plumbing components during field service operations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school experience is a plus but not required. Strong interest in construction plumbing, mechanical systems, or related fields. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and reading schematics. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices. Willingness to learn new skills such as pipe threading, welding techniques, and blueprint reading. Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
